I am planning to buy a second hand car preferably santro or wagon R. I selected a car which is 2002 model santro. the price is reasonable with CNG fitted. the only concern i have is the mileage done, it has done 1.4 lacs kms. I dnt knw about the techinal part but also i dnt think that a mechanic can guarantee that it is gud one. I want to knw whether it is feasible to go for that car which has covered above 1 lac kms?

If, after fitting CNG, the car has done 1.4 L KM, it, generally is presumed that it is equivalent to double the KM, had she run on petrol. Therefore, the engine condition need to be examine dthoroughly and decide.

PRIOR TO FINALISE PLEASE CHECK WHETHER THE CAR WAS DRIVEN ON CNG OR LPG.OTHERWISE IN PRESENT SCENARIO THE ALUMINIUM ALLOY ENGINES SHALL NOT NEED A OVERHAUL FOR MORE THAN 3 LAKH KMS.HOWEVER GETTING CHECKED BY A EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN SHALL BENEFIT FOR SURE.
