Toyota Vios will finally make way to the country and will compete against Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna in the C+ segment. This space has not seen any action from the Japanese car makers and the Vios will help bridge the vast gap between Toyota Etios and Toyota Corolla. The Vios will come with a modern design to finally end the debate of Toyota’s design potential which was challenged with the Etios sedan. Vios looks very modern in terms of design. It will also boast of a Six-Speaker music system with steering mounted controls. Apart from the infotainment section, the car has been designed keeping every need of people in mind. Stretch comfortably and would be provided with comfy seats to provide more luxury. Performance of Toyota Vios will come in form of a 4-cylinder In-line, 16 Valve, DOHC with VVT-i powertrain, capable of delivering a maximum power of 107 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. Toyota Vios price in India will range from Rs. 7 lakhs to Rs. 12 lakhs.
Going by the success of Innova, Toyota is sure that its upcoming Avanza MPV will be accepted in India too. It is still not confirmed on when till the Toyota Avanza launch in India happens but it will be the first compact MPV in true sense. The Avanza will be best suited for the ones who want a reliable yet compact MPV. The Innova is no doubt the best when it comes to a full size MPV but then it also proves to be an expensive choice for consumers looking for a car at a budget, the Avanza will be pitched against them. The 1.5 liter petrol engine of the Toyota Avanza is well tuned and the car has a maximum power of 109Ps and a highest torque of 141 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The Avanza is quite fuel efficient and is expected to run at 15.8 kmpl. The car owes its superb performance to the VVTi technology which is the aid behind its improved acceleration, fuel economy, torque and power.
