2012 : Refreshed Twin?

Renault India may not have had a smooth ride in the past but it’s not letting that be a discouraging factor. Instead, Renault India is gearing up for the Indian market with some new and interesting launches like the Duster SUV and a sedan in October in addition to the existing line up of D Segment sedan Fluence, premium compact SUV Koleos and Pulse.

Renault Pulse, unveiled by Formula1 drivers Mark Webber and Karun Chandok, marked Renault’s entry in India's hatchback segment to grab some share of the now very popular small car scene here.

Though the resemblance in looks to  the Nissan Micra has over-shadowed the Renault Pulse, the retro based design theme of the Pulse pushes it away from peers like the 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift and kinetic design based Ford Figo.

To find out whether the new Renault grabs India’s “Pulse”, we review the RxL variant of the Renault Pulse.

  • i think its a partt of your learning.. i woudnlt blame you for over revving or shaking for driving a car other than what you normally drive. trouble is you should have had more experience before you should have been allowed on the road. not being personal but people like you add to the statistics of young people crashing in their early driving years and causing the insurance to go up so get back on the wheel where you feel confident or the best bet would be to take an advanced motoring lesson as you'll encounter a lot more strange/dangerous times on the road than driving an alien car.

  • Bah!
Just face lifted Micra and nothing else, really disappointed that hatch an original Key for success in India is redesigned sibling already in market.
Though better looking than micra, but both do Honor killing for themselves.
    Good luck for them

    a. How can a car be longer AND shorter than another at the same time?
Ans : "Longer" is a term which is always associated with length and "Shorter" is a term which is always associated with height respectively. It doesn't go the other way round in any condition. Hope I have answered your suggestion (per a.)

2)From the Rival Chart of 2012 Renault Pulse, the comparable Micra XV costs 538300 whereas the Pulse costs 637500, and yet according to the reviewer, the Pulse has been priced "interestingly lesser"
Ans: If you go through the review, we have mentioned that we have reviewed the RxL variant. In the Rival Chart, RxZ with Dual airbags has been mentioned in comparison with the other models. I guess the Math (Per b) has been solved.

Your suggestions and feedback are always welcome and we are glad that you are concerned about the site's perception. Please continue sending us your valuable suggestions.

  • I don't know how people tend to write reviews but this comparison makes no sense: "Renault Pulse, which is little longer and shorter than the Micra, would appeal to them who like a sporty design. The Pulse has been priced "interestingly" lesser."

My suggestion is to use people who know both English (per a.) and Math (per b.) to write reviews for the site. It impacts the perception of your Website.

  • Hi I would just like to mention that you need to update your price list before doing a review like this. For eg: the ex-showrrrom price of the ford figo titanium is 5,94,011 in bangalore now. Correcting the prices would help readers make correct decisions. Thank you
