Honda Brio - Introduction

Essentially Honda cars are expensive in maintenance. They call you every three months for a "checkup" service irrespective of the kilometers you have done. What is even strange is that they change your motor oil once every 6 months or 5000 kms whichever is earlier. They have a pre prepared list of things they need to do and whether the car needs it or not, they will replace the item and charge you heavily for it. Additionally the items are expensive. On the lighter side, they even fill up the water in your car which you use for window cleaning and charge you for it. A small amount of Rs 50.00! You can imagine how many cars they can fill up water with and earn quite a bit. The service ethics are just below average, maybe thats why you see less of these cars. Additionally Brio has such a big rear glass, that one stone or tree branch will be a scary experience and you feel it is not a car at all. I wish Honda gets its act together and see what the cometition is offering in todays world. Volkswagon is asking the service of cars at 10,000 km or one year. They are confident that they dont need their cars to be serviced before 0ne year.

I am thinking of buying this and have almost committed to the sales people of this purchase . But I am astonished to notice that I have hardly come across three cars in total ( Brio's ) in Mumbai & Pune in the past three days . what is it ? lacks value for money or some factor beyond my comprehension ? need help from Honda Motors directly if they can spare some time to ralk to me .

I PURCHASED BRIO IMMEDIATELY IT WAS LAUNCHED. COMPANY GOES ON IMPROVEMENTS BUT NEVER THINKS FOR THEIR ROYAL CUSTOMERS WHO PURCHASE ON THEIR NAME. COMPANY MUST TAKE CARE OF THEIR FIRST FEW CUSTOMERS AND OFFER THEM IMPROVEMENTS SO THAT EARLY BIRDS DO NOT REGRET FOR THEIR HAVING BLIND FAITH IN COMPANY.

I have driven my new Brio from Delhi to Nasik via Indore on 1st May 2012,& back via Ahmedabad on 10th May,total distance 2702 kms.First day drove for 19 hours.Got a average of 17 kpl on highway,& 15kpl in city.My experience was like i was driving a sedan.I was not at all feeling tired,very comfortable to drive.Fantastic performance.Only draw back on highway is overtaking where the car seems to be wanting in performance.I vote for this car.
