Ikon TDCi is definitely a value for money car
Ikon TDCi is definitely a value for money car, offering better build, better ride, more space & comfort compared to Swift VDi in addition to a larger boot. But, it is a really outdated car, and further Ford's are never as cheap & reliable to maintain as a Maruti. Further, if you are looking at a time period of 6-8 years, I would suggest you a Swift VDi only.

ford ikon is certainly an outdated looking car but is a good value.the tdci diesel has terrific performance and the ride and handling is simply the best.it reaches 0-100 in 12sec[i've recorded this timing as i own one].the build quality is also tough and the car has done 30000 kms but there are no squeaks or rattles audible[it is being driven on broken surfaces daily without any care].the fuel economy is also one of the best returning 18-20kpl in city.the cost of spares have also come down and the service provided by the dealer is more than satisfactory.
