Ikon is worst car
The Ikon is one of the worst cars on the road today. In terms of mileage, you will get anywhere between 8-12 with the a/c on. On the highway, with a steady speed between 70-80km/hr, you can expect 12-14 at best. Be prepared for plenty of repairs. I have a friend who has an Ikon, a Honda City and a Baleno, and his least preferred car is the Ikon. He doesn't even want to sell it because it makes him look bad. Asking price for the same year as you mention is about 75,000. Your 800 is a much better machine. The Ikon has lousy resale value too.

pure crap..does our learned friend here owns the car himself or depends on info frm his friends only...i own ikon 1.3 since dec 2004. have done 39887km till date... very reliable... 17kmpl without ac, 15 kmpl with ac at @ 80 to 100kmph on highway... in town @ 11kmpl with ac...good rugged suspension... no other expenditure other than regular service ... only two grouses.. scraps its underbelly whole tackling big speedbreakers with 4/5 persons on board and bottom end grunt should have been more.... OF COURSE ONE CAN'T REALLY COMPARE IKON 1.3 WITH A CITY OR BALENO ..CAN U REALLY????
