Fiat Grande Punto 2012 Review: Delicious Hatch

Cute, pretty and beautiful are the terms that this car has always gathered. Her curvy and groovy looks makes the sleek designs envy. The Fiat Grande Punto launched in 2009 has been part of the fiercely populated B+ Segment.

Small car segment in India has been the most sorted after these days. Every manufacturer wants to pitch its own small offering. The intention is to increase the portfolio and also to make the brand more popular.

Grande Punto recently got a 2012 make over. The all new 2012 changes include a mix of both interior as well exterior aesthetic changes. But will all the new changes be sufficient to tussle it out with the market leaders?

Undoubtedly, Punto is a hatch with good styling among the contemporary hatchbacks. Adding the legendary multijet diesel engine., it is the best I would recommend you.

Hello Mate!Your write up is interesting and poeovkrs me for some inputs, and so here i am writing towards it.The punto is definitely a good choice in terms of Power. Trust me no one beats the Italian when it comes to power. So if its about the sheer joy of driving with some thrust to it, go for it and you shall enjoy.On a different perspective looking at the complete package is Ford Figo (i dont see a mention for it in your write up) which is very good on performance as well as mileage and keeps you happy till the time you are mindful of the ford brand and its maintenance.Jot down your priorities and take the right step buddy. Pay 4 lakhs more still I would say it worth it In Europe all TDCI of Ford in small cars are replaced with now Fiat 1.3 MJ (in Ford Ka for eg.). This is an excellent car south side of 1o lakhs and I would rate ride an dhandling better than that of a Skoda. Having used skoda for 6 years I was amazed to feel the ride and handling and that instant itself i booked one.

Figo is no doubt a good car but the Grande Punto gives you a feel of a bigger hatch compared to the Figo. The Figo though is more performance friendly compared to the Punto which takes time to react. I also would have wished if Fiat can relax a bit on the pricing as it can really help pull masses.

spending 2 lacks more than FIGO??? is it worth that? I think in handling, space and feel & Road Grip it is same like FIGO. Go for Figo Diesel instaed having Pentrol Emo- Punto whcih is even less than Punto price

I am a proud owner of a Punto Diesel... and trust me, ITS ONE RUGGED CAR!
Gives me an average of approx 16 kmph in peak city driving and 20 kmph in the highway. Take it to Lonavala often and trust me, it holds to the road like no other car does...
I am also happy with the after sales service... have done 2 services and good team there.
Proud to be the owner of a Punto!
