I recently bought Volkswagen New Passat Comfortline and I simply love my new car. Two variants of Passat are available in the market and both with a diesel engine. The car is powered with a 2.0L DSG, 4 cylinder common rail diesel engine at 1968 cc. Maximum power churned out is 168 hp at 4200 rpm and the peak torque is 350 Nm at 1750-2500. Passat Comfortline is a fuel efficient car which boasts a powerful and dynamic engine. The car gives an excellent mileage of 10.6 kmpl in urban areas and around 14.3 kmpl on the highway roads and its fuel tank capacity is 70 litres. Talking about the exterior design of this car, it can catch the attention of any passer-by with its powerful huge body and dynamic magnitudes. The front facia of Passat has well-built chrome finish radiator grille which combines beautifully with stylish circular headlamps. Two Xenon headlights mark it with the tag of luxury sedan. From front to back, the car looks grand and stylist. One can actually rely on the safety and security features of the car as it is equipped with modern safety appliances such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) and 8 airbags to protect the passengers and the driver at the time of accident. Some other safety features of the car include child lock, traction control system, electronic stabilization program and differential lock and Xenon headlights.

It’s been quite a few months since I have been driving the Volkswagen New Jetta and I must say that I am very much content with this car. The company has launched four variants of New Jetta namely Volkswagen Jetta Comfortline, Volkswagen Jetta Trendline and Volkswagen Jetta Highline with options between manual and automatic DSG gearbox. It’s quite an appealing car with a sporty exterior which easily attracts any passer-by. As far as the engine of the car is concerned, it boasts a 2.0L diesel engine all packed with 6 speed manual gearbox while its Highline variant is powered with 6 speed automatic DSG gearbox. New Jetta’s diesel variants are very fuel efficient and offer a smooth drive. This powerful diesel engine generates a maximum power output of 139 hp at 4200 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm at 1750-2000 rpm. With such an engine configuration, it can cover 100 kmph in just 12 seconds and attain top speed of 210 kmph. I was actually impressed with the wheels of New Jetta as it is accumulated with 6.5J X 16 inch alloy wheels. It makes the exterior of the car very classy and strong. The size of the tyre is 205/55 R16. These big sizes of the tyres are very supportive, which reduce the rate of slipping while driving on slippery or wet surface. Besides all these features, the car is equipped with all the modern entertainment equipment such as RCD 310 touch screen music system comprising USB-in with CDs, MP3 and WMA files.
