The Porsche Cayman is a two-seater sports coupe that carries a dynamic sports car look and delivers a staggering performance on the road. The Cayman, which has been derived from second generation Boxster convertible, was first introduced in the world market in year 2006. Powered by a 3.4L petrol engine, the Porsche Cayman delivers a massive power of 320 hp.

The Porsche Cayman has been offered in two variants in the country including one manual transmission version and one Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission version. The Cayman is also available in a lesser powered fuel efficient 2.7L petrol engine version that delivers a peak power of 245 bhp.

The Cayman model has been appreciated for its power packed performance and sensational looks throughout the world. The car proves a head turner wherever it goes on the road. Offering a top speed of 172 mph, the Cayman model has been loaded with a range of safety and stability features including the likes of Impact Protection System (POSIP) and thorax-protection airbags.

So far, the Porsche Cayman has met with an overwhelming response in the Indian market.

The Cayman has been offered with a price tag of Rs. 58,50,000 and Rs. 62,00,000, for the manual and PDK transmission versions, respectively.

Engine & Specifications of the Porsche Cayman

The Porsche Cayman model has been offered in three different variants that comprise of 2.7L, 2.9L and 3.4L petrol versions.  The 2.7L version of the car delivers a peak power of 245bhp along with a peak torque of 273 Nm @ 4600 rpm. On the other hand, the 3.4L petrol version of the Cayman delivers a maximum power of 320hp @ 7200 rpm along with a massive torque of 273 lb.-ft.

Featured with rear wheel drive, the Cayman model is available in two different transmission versions including a 6 speed manual and 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission.

Performance of the Porsche Cayman

As mentioned above, the Porsche Caymen model has been designed to deliver a staggering performance on the road. With a top speed of 172 mph, the manual Cayman model takes just 4.9 seconds to break the speed barrier of 60 mph. On the other hand, the PDK transmission version takes an even lesser 4.8 seconds to achieve this mark.
