Overview of Mercedes Benz M Class

The Mercedes Benz M Class is one of the most popular models in Mercedes’ India portfolio and was introduced in the world market in year 1997. The Mercedes SUV was also featured in the famous Hollywood movie, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, followed by its commercial launch. However, it took more than a decade to the company to bring he Mercedes M-Class to the Indian market.

Thrilled by the applauding response received by the M-Class form the Indian buyers; the company has also launched Grand Sport Edition and Grand Executive Edition of the car in the Indian market.

The Mercedes M-Class comes powered by a 3.0L, 2987cc, V6 engine that generates a peak power of 244 hp at 3800 rpm along with a peak torque of 510 Nm at 1600-2800 rpm. In addition to this, the M-Class model incorporates a 7-speed '7G-TRONIC' Automatic Transmission. The other major attractions of the  car includes standard 17 inch light weight alloy wheels along with high profile tyres, dual circuit brakes,  Anti-lock braking system, brake assist and aromatic suspension system.

The M-Class's recently unveiled sports edition comes equipped with an array of additional features including all wheel drive system fitted in the 4MATIC, ESP/4ETS electronic dynamic handling control system, darkened head lights, integrated LED daytime running lamps, 10 spoke 19 inch alloy wheels, AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel and two tone interior.

Inside, the Mercedes M-Class comes featured with a range of comfort boosting features including fighter jet type instrument panel, AC vents and centre console features, THERMATIC automatic climate control, twelve high-performance loudspeakers along with Dolby® Digital 5.1 technology and 11-channel DSP amplifiers.
