With a belief of getting a value for money car, I purchased the hatchback Maruti Suzuki A-Star, few months back. The car has been much true to its terms and the pricing has also been quite affordable. As Maruti A-Star is powered by an advanced KB series engine, it scores brilliantly in terms of performance. Owing to such an engine configuration, the variants generate maximum power output of 66 hp at 6200 rpm and a peak torque of 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. Not just the power, I am also impressed by the suspension system that has been fitted in this car. At the front end, the A-Star has McPherson Strut & coil spring, whereas the rear side is facilitated with isolated trailing link & coil spring. One thing that has impressed me a lot is the mileage that this hatchback offers. With an excellent mileage of 19 kmpl, the fuel consumption has been maintained to a good extent. Apart from the technical aspect, the Maruti A-Star comes loaded with many features, which provide absolute comfort in the drive. Few of the prominent interior features of this hatchback are effective climate control, remote controlled door locks, boot lid opener, fuel lid opener, front & rear power windows, integrated glove box many more. These features not only offer an elegant look but also keep the comfort factor maintained in the drive. Moreover, the car also has much interior space which provides sufficient leg room and headroom.
