The latest car purchased by me is Mahindra Scorpio EX, a year back. I took this during many long trips and also experienced fabulous off-roading capabilities of the car. EX is the top model of the Scorpio series and therefore is completely loaded with most of the comfort levels and luxuries. All these comforts add to the convenience of the passengers and deliver a hassle free drive during long trips. Besides this, the car is also packed with a performance oriented engine, which has impressive power as well as torque emissions. The special 2.5 litre m2DiCR engine of Scorpio EX has the capacity to churn an output of 75 bhp, which is quite impressive for a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). Since the car is backed by a powerful engine, Scorpio EX smoothly accelerates from initial to 60 kmph in a short span of 11.2 seconds. In order to make this car fuel efficient, it has been incorporated with Fuel-saving Micro Hybrid technology. Despite being loaded with a powerful engine, the car has the capability to deliver an impressive fuel economy and therefore runs around 14 kmpl (as certified by ARAI). In addition to these, the car is equipped with special suspensions system which enables it to deliver a hassle free drive for the passengers.

One of my recent purchases include Mahindra Scorpio LX, which is a premium car placed in the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment of the Indian auto industry. Since I drove this car, I was quite impressed with its performance. The car is incorporated with a powerful engine, which has impressive power and torque emissions. The LX version of Scorpio is equipped with a Common Rail Diesel engine, which has the displacement of 2179 cc. The inter cooled mHawk CRDe, four stroke engine of this car has the capacity to generate a maximum power of 120 bhp at 4000 rpm with a peak torque of 290 Nm at a fairly low 1800-2800 rpm. To assist the powerful engine of this car, the company has equipped a five speed manual transmission in the car which improves its overall acceleration. Apart from an efficient engine, the car is also packed with high end comfort features which add to the convenience of the passengers. These features include power steering, central locking, power windows, Central Bezel with IP and console, mobile charging facility, side step and remote fuel lid opener.
