Overall Evaluation of the Hyundai i10

The Hyundai i10 is one of the most popular hatchbacks in the Indian market and was rolled-out in the Indian market in year 2007. The i10 model has been appreciated throughout the world for its powerful performance and a considerably high fuel economy. The car Hyundai i10 was in fact launched in the Indian market to fill the portfolio gap between Hyundai Santro and Hyundai Getz model.

At present, the Hyundai i10 model is available in two petrol engine options including a 1.1L IRDE engine and a 1.2L Kappa engine. The car is available in both automatic and manual transmission versions in the Indian market. Recently, in September last year, Hyundai had rolled-out a face-lifted version of i10 with a refined engine and a number of cosmetic changes at both exterior and interior front, and has been named as 'Next Gen i10'. The engine of the new i10 comes coupled with the new age Variable Timing Valve Train (VTVT) technology that enhances the power and performance of the heart of the car.

The Hyundai i10 model is currently available in the price bracket of Rs 3,54,146 - Rs 5,95,084, where it is competing with some of the most popular hatchbacks in the Indian market including Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo, Maruti Wagon R, etc. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Engine of the Hyundai i10

As mentioned above, the Hyundai i10 model is available in two petrol engine options including a 1.1L IRDE engine and a 1.2L Kappa engine. The newly launched Hyundai i10 carries more powerful and more refined engines. The new 1.1 iRDE2 engine of the car delivers a greater maximum power of 69 Ps at 5500 rpm and delivers maximum torque of 10.1 kgm at 4500 rpm, while the new 1.2 Kappa2, DOHC, VTVT, delivers a peak power of 80 Ps at 6000 rpm along with a top torque of 11.4 kgm at 4000 rpm. The car is available in both automatic and manual transmission options.

Performance of the Hyundai i10

The Hyundai i10 model has been appreciated for its powerful performance throughout the world. The newly launched face-lifted version of i10 sports refined engines that come coupled with Variable Timing Valve Train (VTVT) technology that enhances the power and performance of the heart of the car. While the 1.1L engine takes just 15.55 seconds to break the speed barrier of 100 kmph, the 1.2L engine variant takes just 13.02 seconds to perform this task. On the other hand, the automatic transmission versions of the i10 takes 16.27 seconds to achieve this mark.

Exterior, Interior & Safety Features of the Hyundai i10

The newly launched Hyundai i10 model comes equipped with a range of new age features at both exterior and interior fronts including round headlights, single chrome finished horizontal slat at front radiator grille that houses company logo and a new design front bumper, lower but wider air-intake, stylish ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, height adjustable driver seat, full wheel cover and foldable key with keyless entry.

The major safety features of the Hyundai i10 include ABS (Antilock Brake System), Seat Belt Warning Lamp, Front Seat Belts with Pretensioner , Door Open Warning Lamp, Seat Belt Reminder, ABS Warning Lamp, Clear Lens Fog Lamps, and many more.
