India’s largest exporter and second largest car manufacturer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), had rolled-out the face-lifted 2011 Hyundai Accent in the first quarter of 2011. The characteristic mid-sized Hyundai Accent has been around for more than a decade now and is one of the chief selling cars of the company. The new Accent boasts of improved features and looks more stylish and Hyundai aims to make it even more famous than the original model.

The exteriors of the 2011 Hyundai Accent get chrome finished front grille, whereas the chrome garnish over the license plate has helped giving an elite look to the Hyundai Accent 2011 edition. Also, the Accent is equipped with some add-on features in the interior that bestow a classic touch; these include a leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel, wooden finish interior and front and rear power windows.

The four-door Accent packs punch with a peppy engine and smooth suspension making the whole driving experience a real pleasure. Apart from Executive variant, the five-seater is also available in CNG and LPG variants.

Engine & Specifications of the Hyundai Accent

The Accent comes loaded with a 1495 cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine can generate topmost power of 94bhp at 5500rpm while its peak torque is 124Nm at 4500rpm. The petrol engine is equipped with 1.5-litre Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) and provides good fuel economy.

The same 1.5-litre engine powers the CNG variant and LPG variants of the Accent. The Accent possesses the lowest greenhouse gas emission as it emits lower CO2, and the technologically advanced engine also offers host of benefits including reduced engine maintenance.

The mileage of the Accent is around 8kmpl within the city while on the highway it can provide mileage of 13kmpl.
