I recently got the chance to drive the luxurious hatchback, Honda Jazz that is assimilated with features of a C-segment sedan. There are 3 models for Jazz namely Jazz, Jazz Select and Jazz X. The sporty exteriors of Honda Jazz make it the first choice among the youngsters. USB Port, rear chrome garnish, reclining rear seats, alloy wheels, aerodynamic bumper & fender and silver + matt coloured headlight are some of the new features in the Honda Jazz. This model is equipped with the 1.2L i-VTEC engine that delivers maximum power of 88 hp and maximum torque of 110 Nm. The model excels in safety in comfort department as the car has coat hanger, foot rest, cup holders at door pockets and front and rear console pockets. As far as interior features are concerned, the model has steering mounted audio control, front & rear speakers, magic seats, rear parcel tray and integrated audio with mp3, USB, aux in and AM/FM. Honda Jazz is available in 5 different colours, namely taffeta white, crystal black, urban titanium, crystal black and alabaster silver. The company has not compromised with the safety and thereby has assimilated dual front SRS bags, EBD (Electronic brake force distribution), ABS with brake assist and front seatbelt pretensioner with load limiter.

I used to own a Maruti Swift model for around five years and wanted an upgrade to a premium hatchback. After I tested Honda Jazz X model, I immediately decided to buy the premium compact car. After almost a year of driving around in my elegant blue coloured Honda Jazz, I would like to share my fulfilling experience. I was a little apprehensive about investing in a foreign car brand after so many years of using the reliable Swift model; however, the experience with Jazz X has been totally rewarding and glitch-free. Based on an active 1.2-litre, i-VTEC petrol engine, I get a maximum power of 89 bhp from my Honda Jazz X. However, I do think that the mileage of only around 13 kmpl to 16 kmpl can be improved considerably. What made me interested in buying the hatchback is its premium element. The compact car manages to cater a sedan-like environment towards the interior. The cabin has all the features one can expect out of any mid-sized sedan in India’s car market. Some of the cabin comfort features include air-conditioning with heater, integrated audio system with radio, CD player along with front and rear speakers, steering mounted audio controls and much more. I consider Honda Jazz X as one of the best premium hatchbacks in the market today which comes at quite a reasonable price.
