The Honda Civic is available in the price bracket of Rs 12,83,400 to Rs 15,19,400 (Delhi ex-showroom), where it is competing with the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis, Chevrolet Cruze, Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta and upcoming Maruti Kizashi. The new generation Honda Civic comes powered by a 1.8L, 1799cc, 4-cylinder, i-VTEC petrol engine that is capable to churn-out a peak power of 132 Ps at 6300 rpm along with a top torque of 17.5 kgm at 4300 rpm. The car comes mated with a five speed manual and an optional five speed automatic transmission that carries paddle

shift system. The i-VTEC technology of the new Civic works in tandem with engine at high speed, controlling air-fuel intake valves and exhaust valves.
