Overview of Ford Focus 

Ford Motor Company, one of the most prestigious US auto major, has been trying everything to establish a strong foothold in the Indian automobile market. After path-breaking success of the compact car Ford Figo, Ford in India is coming up with the mid-size sedan, Ford Focus. 

Launched in Europe in July 1998, Ford Focus was also introduced in several nations across the globe in 2000 after its warm reception in the European market. Over the decade, there were several revisions in design and features of the model. Ford Focus in India will be reformed as per preferences of the Indian target group. After its sedan launch, Ford Focus is also expected in hatchback body type.

 

Engine and Technical Specification of Ford Focus 

Ford Focus will be assembled with 2.0 litre Duratec 16V DOHC engine that has an excellent power churning capacity of 140 hp at 6,000 rpm. This engine has a maximum torque delivery of 136 Nm at 4250 rpm. Another engine option available in Ford Focus is 2.0 litre Duratec, 16V, DOHC, 20E, PZEV mill engine. This engine has peak power output of 136 hp at 6000 rpm and delivers maximum torque of 133 Nm at 4250 rpm. These engines are integrated with an advanced five-speed manual transmission or four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.

 

Performance of Ford Focus 

The Ford Focus sedan is assembled with advanced engines, which include 2.0 litre Duratec, 16V DOHC and a 2.0 litre Duratec 16V DOHC 20E PZEV engine. Besides an excellent power churning capacity and torque delivery, the configuration is expected to give class leading mileage in city and on highways to delight Indian audience.

 

Exteriors, Interiors and Safety features of Ford Focus 

The upcoming Ford Focus has appealing muscular exteriors, exhibiting Z-shaped design. The robust wheels with covers add to the sophistication of its exteriors. The exterior styling of the compact hatchback has fluid like appearance, explained through curvy lines and shapes across its side profile. Its sleek and elegant front design complements prominent headlamps, chrome finished grille, chrome finished door handles, body colour bumper/mirrors and rear spoiler. Moreover, kinetic exterior design with the stylish LED light clusters, headlamps and dynamic accessories grabs attention of passers-by. Enthusiasts have option to choose from eleven unique wheel designs. 

Interiors of the car are quite attractive, finished with superior quality material like leather finish. The low seating arrangement, classy door panels, controls integrated into the central console and elegantly finished steering wheel are some of the highlighting interior features. As far as comfort is concerned, there is ample space for accommodating five passengers in the four-door sedan. Integration of technology gadgets and features like navigation controls, parking technology and voice command controls keep track of convenience of occupants.
