Volvo India had made a late entry in the Indian market; however, the Swedish car maker is quickly gaining popularity amongst the luxury car buyers in India. The latest model Volvo C70 is a cocktail of comfort and safety which are the two major attributes for any Volvo car. There are hardly any competitors for this coupe and the sporty yet elegant look is something truly unique.

Volvo C70 has been engineered for a seating capacity of 4 people with interiors done to please the passengers in every manner. Volvo C70 is fitted with 12 Dynaudio loudspeakers, a 900 digital amplifier and ipod and USB connectivity. You can easily take calls from the Bluetooth with car speakers readily available for call connectivity.

Volvo C70 also boasts of its artificial intelligence embedded in the model that notifies you if you run the danger of being overtaken while changing the lanes. Moreover, the car also comes with a hardtop which can emerge from almost nowhere within 30 seconds.

Volvo India is aiming to take Indian market by storm with the launch of the new car. Volvo has yet to announce the final price of C70 model which is anticipated in 2011. It will be imported as a completely built unit in India which makes it carry a hefty price tag.

Well i don't think that it has any thing to do with swedes or any other car manufacturer as u don't see lot of hard top convertibles around these day, particularly in India. And as far as Indian roads are concerned we can expect the manufacturers to be having competent marketing knowledge if they want their that much expensive products to be bought here (particularly suspension in consideration). Though some people will be willing to pay such prices happily only if they get what they want, (post sale service included). This vehicle is 3 times more expensive than in states because of 120 or even more percent tax on imported vehicles, i guess.

I hope the Indians are not getting ripped off by the swedes again. Would you consider buying a 100,000 USD vehicle and then drive on Indian roads? Absurd and rediculous. How come this vehicle is 3 times more expensive than in the States?
