As already discussed, Volkswagen Jetta comes in both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.6L petrol engine of the Jetta has a 1595cc engine equipped with 5 speed manual transmission gear box ensuring smooth shifting of gears, thereby increasing the efficiency of the vehicle. The power packed engine of Volkswagen Jetta generates a top power of102 PS at 5600 rpm and 148 NM at 3800 rpm.

The diesel engine of Volkswagen Jetta comes in two variants, Trendline and Comfortline. Both the engines are 1.9L,1896cc, TDi. The Jetta Trendline is equipped with direct injection technology, that enhances the fuel economy along with increased performance, and 5 speed manual transmission.

On the contrary, Comfort line engine is packed with direct injection technology in combination with 6 speed automatic DSG gearbox, which will be a new experience for Indian users. These high power engines give a top power of 105 PS at 4000 rpm simultaneously generating maximum torque of 250NM at 1900 rpm.
