Skoda Auto is growing by leaps and bounds in several markets across the globe. Skoda Roomster, a multi-purpose vehicle, is among the upcoming cars of Skoda for Indian market. The first public appearance of this five-door five-seater hatchback was in the year 2006. Engines & Specifications of Skoda Roomster

Skoda Roomster is expected to be launched in three different capacity engines, including 1.2 litre, 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre TDI. The petrol versions include 1.2 HTP/51 kW, 1.4 MPI/63 kW, 1.2 TSI/63 kW and 1.2 TSI/77 kW. Displacement of these variants ranges between 1197cc and 1390cc. On the other hand, diesel powered variants are considerably more power-packed, including the 1.2 TDI CR DPF/55 kW, 1.6 TDI CR DPF/66 kW and 1.6 TDI CR DPF/77 kW. These turbocharged diesel engines are high-pressure direct injection common rail systems that provide streamlined on-road performance along with optimum utilisation of fuel.

Skoda Roomster will be introduced in petrol as well as diesel trims in order to cater to the wide base of target segment. The petrol version of Skoda Roomster will be assimilated with 1.2 TSI engine has an excellent acceleration and delivers exceptional performance. On the other hand, the diesel variants of Skoda Roomster will be equipped with more powerful engine compared to the petrol version. On the parameters of fuel efficiency, diesel powered variants have upper hand.
