Overall Evaluation of the Maruti Suzuki SwiftThe Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in the Indian market and was rolled-out in the country in year 2005. With the launch of Swift hatchback, Maruti marked its debut in the premium hatchback segment. The petrol version of the car sports a 1.2 L, 1197 cc K series engine which is capable of generating a peak power of 85 PS at 6000 rpm along with a peak torque of 113 Nm at 4500 rpm.On the other hand, the diesel version of the Maruti Suzuki Swift comes equipped with a 1.3 L, 1248 cc DDiS engine which delivers a peak power of 75 PS at 4000 rpm along with a peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. Both versions of the car come coupled with a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox.Performance of the Maruti Suzuki SwiftThe Maruti Suzuki Swift model has been appreciated throughout the world for its power packed performance. The car offers a segment leading fuel economy in both diesel and petrol versions. While the diesel version of the Swift offers a fuel economy in the range of 16.9 kmpl in the city areas and 19.6 kmpl on the highways, the petrol version delivers a superior mileage of 14.4 kmpl in the city areas and 18.1 kmpl on the highways. The petrol version of the car takes just 13.8 seconds to break the speed barrier of 100 kmph. On the other hand, the diesel version of the car takes just 13.2 seconds to reach this mark.Exterior, Interior & Safety Features of the Maruti Suzuki SwiftThe Maruti Suzuki Swift model carries a robust and stylish look.
