Jaguar C-X75, the remarkable concept of an exclusive hybrid car that was first introduced at the Paris Auto Show in year 2010, will soon be seen running on the roads as Jaguar has decided to develop the production version of the car. At the time of its display as a concept, many people were skeptical about the C-X75 concept car and whether it would reach to the production stage, but fact as proven otherwise. That being said, the gas turbines of the concept version will have to be replaced by an innovative engine so that the car becomes suitable for on road use.

The Jaguar C-X75 will be blessed with an incredibly lightweight carbon-fiber chassis which will be rigid and very strong. The famous Williams F1 team will be providing their engineering expertise in the development of the car, in fields such as aerodynamics, hybrid technologies  and carbon composite manufacture.

While announcing the Jaguar’s plans of taking the C-X75 Concept into the assembly lines for the production, Mr. Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar Brand Director, said, “People expect Jaguar to be innovators, and that is when Jaguar is at its best. The C-X75 received an incredible reception as a concept car. We’ve been building on that momentum and there is a clear business case for this exclusive halo model. No other vehicle will better signify Jaguar’s renewed confidence and excellence in technological innovation than this.”

The company will manufacture only 250 units of the Jaguar C-X75 and its price will be over USD 1,00,000.

Engine & Specifications of the Jaguar C-X75

As mentioned above, Jaguar is yet to disclose the technical specifications of the production version of C-X75. However, the original gas turbines of the concept version will have to be replaced by an innovative engine so that the car becomes suitable for on road use. The powerful engine of the car will come coupled with a highly sophisticated automatic transmission system.

That being said, the Jaguar C-X75 will be one of the fastest cars in the world, taking just 3.4 seconds to break the speed barrier of 100 kmph. The top speed of the car will be up to a massive 328 kmph. The company aims to take the emission levels of the car to as low as 99g/km CO2.

The C-X75 concept carries ultimate expression of the design and engineering innovations of Jaguar. As mentioned above, the car will be developed with Williams F1, who will offer their engineering expertise in the development of the car. However, the company is yet to reveal the features and specifications of the car.
