The Fiat Bravo is a compact family car, which was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007. This compact hatchback is designed and engineered by the Fiat style centre and Austrian automotive company Magna Steyr. Fiat Bravo in India will be the most expensive car in the segment of compact hatchbacks. It will be priced way above the existing league of premium hatchbacks in India, within the price bracket of Rs. 16 to Rs.18 lacs.
As per industry reports, the idea behind launch of Fiat Bravo is to create a strong brand image in the mind of Indian consumers, underlining refined quality and world-class capabilities of Fiat products. However, taking into account the uprising demand for diesel cars, the premium car will be assembled with a diesel engine.
Engine and technical specifications of Fiat Bravo
The forthcoming Fiat Bravo in India will be loaded with a powerful 1910cc, 16-valve turbocharged multi-jet engine. This high-revving engine, transversely positioned, has capability to deliver maximum power output of 150 bhp at 4000 rpm. Moreover, this engine has peak torque delivery of 305 Nm at 2000 rpm.
Performance of Fiat Bravo
The most powerful upcoming hatchback car in India is expected to do well on-road. In context of acceleration and pick-up, Fiat Bravo races from 0 to 100 kmph in 9 seconds. Furthermore, the advance gearshift mechanism, suspension setup, power steering and deceleration setup enhance ride quality besides providing stability to the car.
Exteriors, Interiors and Safety features of Fiat Bravo
Fiat Bravo is graciously designed with utmost precision, which is evident in its sleek styling, elegant coupe lines and interiors. Inspired by Italian tradition, the hatchback features a sporty radiator grille, elegant alloy wheels, aerodynamic, teardrop-shaped lights and tapered bumper. In addition to this, there is an optional spoiler that gives Bravo a muscular stance. Fiat Bravo measures 4020 mm in length, whereas its width is 1750 mm. Height and wheelbase of the compact car are 1420 mm and 2540 mm, respectively.
Interior design of the Fiat Bravo is as appealing as its exterior. The roomy compact hatchback has ergonomically designed seating arrangement along with several comfort and convenience features. Easy accessibility, clear visibility, good loading capacity and user-friendliness are some of the defining features of the interior of Ford Focus. Some of the notable interior features include tachometer, tripmeter and central console with several controls.
To ensure comfort and convenience of passengers, the upcoming Fiat Bravo has an effective climate controlled air-conditioning system, power windows, central remote locking, remote fuel filler, rear wiper, rear defogger and folding rear seats. For safety of passengers, Fiat Bravo in India comes with safety airbags, fog lamps, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and rear seat belts.

Car price is too high and this is hatchback too. I think company is doing wrong, planning for its launch in india. This car is not going to do any business in india & finally they have to close there shops bcoz only 1 car every year is going to be sold by the dealer in MUMBAI.

Fiat should remember Honda Jazz failure in India which has not moved only because of price.
Whats convincing apart from 120 BHP for 21 lacs.September 26, 2011by Imtiaz
I think this information is not legitimate. I have read from other places that Fiat is not planning for any new launches in the near future.

Its insane to launch a hatch with a price tag of 21lacs plus and that too with a brand tag of fiat. Those who are willing to shell that kind of money obviously are looking for a premium tag as in a BMW X1 , Audi Q3 or else to have something which has a huge road presence as that of a toyota fortuner. Fiats gonna fall flat on its face on this one for sure. Mohanty

Selling Cars with After sales? Not your cup of team in Indian Market.July 04, 2011by Phukon
who's gonna buy a hatch at a price of 21 lakhs! insane! one would either go with honda accord and the newly arrived corolla altis diesel. it'll be a FLOP! moreover it'll bring down the brand name of fiat which was lifted up by grande punto. which i feel is the best hatch in it's price.

Fiat has to realize that this is not Europe. Who is going to buy a hatch at 22L, however good it is? Couple that with Fiat's brand image and I will be surprised if they sell 5 of these cars in a month. Fiat needs to position itself correctly in the market, create goodwill and eventually, people may warm up to such good cars. Going by even the Punto, the experience with Fiat, whether sales or after sales, still has a long way to go.
