The BMW 7 series is a super luxury sedan model which has been appreciated throughout the world for its charismatic design and impeccable performance. In India, the BMW 7-Series has been priced in the range of Rs 84 lacs to Rs 1.33 Cr (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The BMW 7-Series is the German car maker’s flagship luxury sedan and is offered in both regular and extended wheelbase versions. The 7-series comes powered by two engine options, including a 4.8-liter V8 engine and a 6.0-liter V12 engine. Blessed with a range of advanced features and a futuristic design, the BMW 7 Series proves itself a class-apart luxury car. Major attractions of the 7-Series include dynamic stability control, dynamic traction control, anti-lock brakes, and powerful brake control. Safety systems of the car have been controlled through an Intelligent Safety and Information System.
The BMW 7 Series has revolutionized the luxury car. Both interior and exterior of the car carry a perfect combination of contemporary and modernistic design, offering an eye arresting look. The car is also blessed with a unique i-drive technology that offers an impeccable control for the audio, navigation and climate control.
Engine & Specification of the BMW 7-Series
As mentioned above, the BMW 7-Series has been offered in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol version of the car – 740Li – is powered by a 4000CC, 8-cylinder engine, which is capable of delivering a peak power of 306 bhp. The car is available in two more petrol engines including a 4799 cc 8-cylinders and 12-cylinder 5972 cc engine (750Li and 760Li), delivering a peak power of 360 bhp and 439 bhp, respectively.
On the other hand, the diesel version of the 7-Series – 730Ld – delivers a peak power of 319 bhp. All variants of the car are powered by a six-speed automatic transmission, offering a class-apart driving experience.
Performance of the BMW 7-Series
The BMW 7-series sedan has been blessed with a range of performance enhancing features such as Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), an electronic chassis control system and Electronic Damper Control (EDC). The car has been further equipped with sensor technology, further enhancing the performance of the car. Moreover, the car delivers a considerably high fuel economy along with a low emission level. Finally, the new age six-speed automatic transmission delivers a superior acceleration and pick-up characteristics.

Both exterior and interior of the 7-Series are blessed with an eye arresting combination of modern and contemporary design and style. The front profile of the car has been blessed with sleek streamlined double headlights along with body colored bumpers and fog lamps.
