I have purchased Polo 1.2 Petrol High line one month back and driven 1000 kms. Performance is very good . Mileage in city is 15 km/lr and in highway19 km/lr. Performance is the best at the speed of 60-80 km/hr. Overall very satisfied with polo . Before I was using Wagon .

I have polo disel 1.2 comfertline and i get avarage 13.6 to 13.9 km/liter in city , i think it is not satishfy level. it should be around 19-20 km/lit

I was earlier driving Honda City. i switched to Vento thinking that it is german car and would be fuel efficient. but I consume 50% more petrol than honda city for same travel.

I got this mileage by maintaining a constant speed i.e 70kmph...i got this mileage on the way to ernakulam from trivandrum highway in Kerala(road condition not good)

Get on to the road before peak traffic hours, take roads with minimum stoppage/signals maintain optimum speed and change the gears at appropriate rpm. Don't give rise where your tachometer shoots above 3000 rpm maintain between 2000-2500 rpm. Switch on the AC when you reach steady speed. Switch off AC before you approach your destination wherein you can maintain the temperature till you reach the place

Polo Petrol, I got upto 24kml without AC and 20kml with AC in highway and during early morning hrs. I gives me 15-16 kml in city drive with frequent gear change and traffic. Choose road with minimum turns/signals and traffic, get on to the road before peak hours and drive back after peak hours. Enjoy driving

Hi REghu, You are getting a very good mileage. Pl let me know which city u r driving in. has AC been on for all the times. We have booked petrol but shifting to diesel on reading poor feedback on mileage. U r right in a way, Petrol vehicles start giving good mileage after 4K kms approx and then mileage improves further till 6K-7K.

I hve been using VW Polo (P) Comfort line since June'10. Initially I got a mileage of 11 on city ride and 14 on high way. The mileage began improving in use and now I'm getting @ 15 Km and 18.5 respectively. Pls note that the above mileage is with AC running using premium petrol. Now I h've run +4000 KM. I always keep the full tank fuel and monitor closely on mileage by fillthe gap on a weekly basis.

I own swift petrol previously around 3.5 years, it gave me good mileage, city-11km/ltr & highway-16km/ltr
Now i changed 'polo', it is giving me only 7 or 7.5 km/ltr. as per normal driving conditions. Swift is promising in giving mileage as suggested by maruti dealers, but polo doesn't...

hii friends i have owned a new polo 1.2 petrol highline week ago but the average of the car varies when ever i come for some work it shows the average of 3-4 but then slowly goes increasing and the highest avg till now my car has given me is 9km very much dissapointed as per the comments and suggestions of the people and automobile engineers the aveage of the car must be 13-15 km in the city plz if anyone of the people has the same problem then please comment and please give me suggestions

Halogen head lamps are prohibited in kerala by highway police due to excesslight facing on the motorist coming across andso why cant you fit ordinary lamp direct from the company to avoid the problem.Milage is only 15km /litre for petrol variant of polo without AC.Price is reasonable.
