Tips, questions and experienceshi,I am getting a dec 2010 model unsold i.e. it is with the dealer indigo ecs gls for a price 0f 4.2lacs. pls suggest is it worth purchasing the car.

Hi, Am using Tata Indigo and have already clocked 51000 Kms. The vehicle is May 2009 model and as you can see, have used it extensively. The mileage is 16.02 Kms in A/C within City( last checked on the 18th of NoV'09). Have used Nitrogen for the tyres instead of Air which has increased the mileage by 1 km. Am very particular with servicing and ensur alignment and balancing every 10000 Km. Even the tyres were changed only at 50000KM, with 3 punctures till date.

i have a tata indigo glx petrol, i am getting a mileage of only 9 kms/litre whereas your table mentioned the city average as 13
can some one assist it would be of great help

Tata Indigo Mileage
Tata Indigo proudly boasts as one of the most fuel efficient sedans by Tata Motors with an impressive mileage of 23 KMPL. Tata Motors tried to create a stir in the market with the e-CS series of the same sedan.
Tata Indigo comes with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant of Tata Indigo is equipped with 1.2 litre Multi Point Fuel Injection system with a displacement of 1193 cc.The emission standards set by both the mills satisfy the BS IV emission norms. Tata Indigo`s mileage ranges from 18 KMPL in city to 20 KMPL on highways for petrol.
On the other hand, Tata Indigo diesel is loaded with 1.4 litre, 16 valve DOHC, CR4 CRDi diesel engine with a displacement of 1396 cc. The mill has a capacity to churn out peak power of 70 bhp at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 140 NM at a range of 1800 to 3000 rpm. Tata Indigo`s diesel mileage ranges from 20 KMPL in city and 23 KMPL on highway.
