Please let me know whether Tata Indica EV2 is giving good mileage of 22km in the city as stated in the brochure or anything less. Please let me know what are the maintenance problems.I want to know whether this can be my car for atleast five to seven years without any problems. Please respond immediately as I want to take some decision at the earliest.

This car has been a workhorse for me on highways and even at 160 KmPH it stands Sturdy!.. Nevertheless its its top speed as far as the NH4 Highway is concerned...!! Sad!

My Car Indicab Reg No.KA 03 C 1221 of Sept 2005 still gives me 20 kmpl in City and 23 kmpl in the highways

Indica eV2 gave 19.5 mileage on highway 70-80 kmph speed covered 1500 kms with of without Ac wondering why mileage is to low as against 22 or 25 per litre

Tata Indica Mileage
Tata Indica is one of the three best-selling cars of the country. It was a indigenously developed passenger hatchback by Tata Motors, its first passenger car as well. According to Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Tata Indica`s mileage is best in its class.
The car is available only with 1.4 litre CRDI, CR4 Microprocessor based Engine Management System. It has a displacement of 1396 cc and offers five speed manual gearbox transmission option.
Tata Indica churns out maximum power of 53.5 bhp at 5500 rpm and maximum torque of 8.5 kgm at 2500 rpm. Tata Indica`s mileage figures ranges from 20 KMPL in city to 23 KMPL on highway.
