When I took delivery of my Nano 2012 LX in Mar 2012. I was initially getting around 16-17 kmpl, in Bangalore city traffic, with A/c on around 50% of time. After crossing 500-600 kms, mileage steadily improved, and now i'm past 1200kms First free service over and getting around 19 kmpl. Same conditions. I feel that traffic conditions and individual driving style has a big impact on mileage. In Crowded cities, esp Bangalore, Bumper to bumper traffic is common and you will get shitty mileage in this condition. Aggressive drivers who accelerate and brake hard will also burn more fuel than sober drivers. Also how well you maintain your vehicle, quality of petrol will also matters. Let me know your thoughts.

I am very unhappy with the millage of my TATA INDICA VISTA car, terra saffire. 2012 model, which is only giving 10 to 11 KMPL. Also plastic quality of bumper & modguard are very poor. I bought Tata Nano in the month of February2011, and let me tell you that i am very much satisfied with the performance of my car. I took my car for long drive (mumbai to ahemedabad and return) without any trouble. Fuel efficiency of my vehicle is 20 to 22 on highway. It's a wonderful small car. It's best in the class of V2 series. It has less engine noise & vibration than the diesel version. I like it because of its smoothness while driving. It's very steady in highways. I've driven it upto 130 KMPH. It's pickup is very nice & better than Spark, Santro, Alto, Getz, i10, WagonR.

Very delicate car we cannot go faster (60 to 70) but great mileage satisfactory performance. Spare parts under the body wheel bearings, lower link need to be a solid round rod instead of a "U" section. adding welded rod to the U section may damage the warranty terms. Some good alternative should be taken care for the wheels and suspensions. When 4 people travel in a highway, the body is shaking (80 kmph) body built vibrations are irritating sound is going beyond the music system.

All the spare parts under the body are very delicate... which we cannot dare to run fast (60-70 km).

Yes it is one of the most beautiful and the perfect car in terms of comfort VFM safety ride quality pick up fuel economy space and handling. I drove it around 1695 kms on highway and fetched around 21.54 km/ltr average that too before first service, only condition was the odo didnt cross 80-90 km/hr. as the car was new. But still the car is the best one

NANO This is my first car. Its easy to drive. Im a sbi employee, means im from middle class. Now im also having a car which gives mileage of 26 kmpl in high ways & in city drive 20 Kmpl. It is very economical. Five persons can sit comfortably. Thanks to TATA for making, many middle class people,(including me) to become a car owner.

In Bangalore, I Purchased a second hand nano which was used by the earlier owner for 60kms only, in feburary,2010. Till now i have done more than 6000 km. I take my daughter to drop her to a residental school and do 400 km up and down and when i drive around 60kms speed, i am consistenly gettind around 24kms. It is a good value for money car, for people who dont want to shell out fancy price of 3 or 4 lakhs for the same interior sized car. I Thank Ratna Tata for thinking for the vast majority of common folks like us. I am not a employee of Tata motors, Please dont mistake.

Mileage excellent... Comfort Excellent... Drive is Good.... Control and maneuverability is good. Tata must give a think on adding one more cylinder to reduce the noise and vibrations. One more disadvantage of this car is no luggage space. You need to open the bonnet every time to fill fuel. Good mileage of course....

I am getting 28 kms per litre of petrol for my Nano on Highways . very good performance. Recently I have faced a starting problem due to the electrical fuel pumb.It sometime not working smoothly. The service man came and made a massage on the pump Nano started. Once again it happened & I gave a massage on the pump again Nano started . I do not know what is the problem to the petrol pump . My car run smoothy for one year after 5600 kms I faced this problem.

Hi, Am using Tata Indigo and have already clocked 51000 Kms. The vehicle is May 2009 model and as you can see, have used it extensively. The mileage is 16.02 Kms in A/C within City( last checked on the 18th of NoV'09). Have used Nitrogen for the tyres instead of Air which has increased the mileage by 1 km. Am very particular with servicing and ensur alignment and balancing every 10000 Km. Even the tyres were changed only at 50000KM, with 3 punctures till date.

The Mileage is poor.Tata's need to work on the mileage of the safari instead of advertising people to go for a safari instead of sedan.

There have been absolutely contradictory reviews about the mileage of the Tata Nano on portals like Cardheko and Mouthshut. While some Nano owners have written that they are getting an excellent mileage of 21 Km per litre in City Traffic with the AC on there are other Nano owners who have written that they are getting only 10 Km per litre or even lesser in City Traffic with the AC on. How can there be such a wide variation of over 50% in fuel average whatever the driving conditions or driving skills may be ? I am a Nano LX owner and my Nano is consistently giving just 10.5 Km per litre for the past nine months having covered 4000 Kms. I have carefully tested my Nano for the last six months running 2500 Kms and have with me irrefutable data to prove that my Nano is consistently giving a mileage of only 10.5 Km per litre in City Traffic. I have passed on this data to Tata Motors. Mr. R Gopala Krishnan - Senior Manager - Customer Support, Tata Motors Chennai has driven my Nano along with a two member Plant Testing Team for three days and has orally confirmed that my Nano gives only 10.5 Kms in City Traffic. He has also confirmed that my Nano also gave him a mileage of 23 Km per litre when he tested it on the Highway which is a blatant lie because I have tested my Nano on the Highway with a diagnostics laptop attached and the mileage recorded was only 18 Km per litre. From what I have gathered in the last six months speaking to several Nano owners in Chennai and Kolkatta is that most of the Nano's are giving 16 to 18 + Kms per litre in City Traffic with the AC on and the mileage apparently goes as high as 21 Km per litre in City Traffic with the AC on which is really fantastic. At the same time, there are a handful of unfortunate defective Nano owners like me who are consistently getting just 10 to 11 Km per litre in City Traffic with the AC on. This kind of variation is absurd and what is even more absurd is the statement of Mr. V. Ramesh Kumar (another Senior Manager with Tata Motors, Chennai) wherein he has confirmed in writing that "Your car is absolutely trouble free and the fuel average you got in such conditions is very appreciable". Absolute nonsense and pasteurised bullshit. I am still waiting for Tata Motors to break their silence and come forward to do whatever needs to be done so that I also get a mile of 16 to 18 Km per litre.

I purchased aura plus Quadrajet car Aug.2010 from ABT, Madurai. The card looks good except, source from vibration from driver side (can hear from cabin not from outside), viper blade holding metal part has rust, while taking reverse a sound like rolling drum is coming. Dear sir , I have Tata Indigo Marina since 5 years, lately I was at outer Shimla Himachal. The Electric Cooling Fan for the Radiator stopped working, I immediately made DIRECT wiring connections of the FAN with the CAR BATTERY, To make the cooling system work. NOW as I start the CAR the FAN immediately goes on and starts to cool the ENGINE. i purchased tata nano cx on 12 july2010,the mileage is very poor,in city it gives hardly 13/14kmpl.in highway it is 17kmpl.i have done 1500 kms.will the mileage increase after servicing?

I am using XETA petrol; occationally using AC: gtg 16Km/l. Any tips to improve the mileage??

650cc small engine bad mileage

I purchased Vista Quadrajet (Aqua) in the month Feb. 2010, so far I hav'nt faced any majore problem, but the only problem I am faceing is some kind of knocking sound from the Dashbored, which has'nt been solved by the Gargo Motors, Dist. Tinsukia, ASSAM. The performance of the said car is very good, but very poor aftersale, I asked the said Dealer to please rectify the said knocking sound, when the car was very new (after three days) when the said car was purchased. Their answers was that the Tata Motors hav'nt been able to rectify the said problem yet, whenever they receive the information from the Head office of TATA MOTORS, that how to solve the said problem, we will let you know & solve the said problem.(VERY VERY POOR AFTER-SALE BY TATA MOTERS).

Last year I purchased one INDICA VISTA TERRA TDi model form the date of purchase I am not satisfied with this car because there is some Irritating sound is comming from the staring.The TATA motors service engineear replaced the many things like staring column rack pinion,knuccle baring etc.etc but same Irritating sound is comming form the staring

Purchased on 9-5-2010 from ABS Motors Gurgaon, presently vehicle is at Lucknow(UP)and will remain herefor some time. It is aself driven car, in city I am getting 8.00 km/lit and on highway for 700 km;s the average was 12.6 km/lit, which in my openion is very low. Secondly the shifting of gear is very hard and it gives jerk while changing the gear. The car in question is Aura ABS(Petrol)HR99C(T)6269. Your advice and help is required in this matter. honestly when i bought my vista Aura i had a great feeling that the INDIAN car has arrived. but after a year..i feel letdown .i feel i could hav settled for a higher priced cars ..why ? b/c i am frustrated by little probles..like : doors locking , power windows prob, A/C problems,,frequent brushing of cars underside...when u try to cross humps..( even at walking speed)....i ask RATAN TATA ji please ...when u make Cars for India ...make them suitable to handle Indian Road conditions....Surely u cant expect to find Freeways all over india....Make a Car for India,,suitable for indian roads. and make the minor irritants vanish (as menioned above) surely u will hav a world class car for us Indians to be proud off.
