I own a Maruti 800. And iam using it for the past 5 years. I find it very comfortable in driving my car. It is very easy to drive through rough roads, traffic jams, and the very best i like it is that we can go easily through narrow roads. It has very low cost maintanance and spare parts. I find easy to make some repairs on my own. It is really a family car. And i really take care of it very well.
Maintain tyre pressre at 33 for all the tryres including your spare tyre(Fill your car tyre pressure at authorised petrol pumps only)and at private air filling stations it will be 28. Try to be on top gear(4), never brake suddenly nor accelerate suddenly. Maintain the car speed between 45 to 55 if possible. Change your engine oil for every 5000 km. Check your battery status time to time and alternator. And finally check your engine and alternator belts.
DRIVE SLOWLY, AND FOLLOW TRAFFIC RULES FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CAR AND YOUR FAMILY.

I wish to buy a new M0800 either A.C. or Non-A.C. at Hyderabad,where the car is suspended from sale. How to buy a car at Hyderabad M-800? The Dealers are "unable" category.

Changing engine oil regularly
Adding Gulf Engine oil additive makes mineral based engine oil's performance like that of synthetic engine oil
Throttle body cleaning
Driving in 5th gear whenever possible
Switching off engine at traffic signal
Never go below half tank before re-filling
re-fill as much possible from same gas station and upto auto cutoff amrk

I am stay in Mumbai & since last 4 yrs I am using maruti 800 and with A/c in city it gives me 16-17 kms/ltr and on highway around 20-21 kms/ltr and this is very much enough in city like mumbai.

My M800 model April 2008 BSIII AC gave 22.53 Kms on highways without A/C and 20.12 with A/C. In city (Bangalore), I get upto 17-18 without AC and 15-16 with A/C.

Maruti 800 Mileage
The Maruti 800’s mileage is one of the best of its class and the Maruti 800 is considered as one of the most fuel efficient cars in the country. The Maruti 800 is designed in such a way that it boosts the Maruti 800’s mileage as the 800’s engine is quite small. It is equipped with just a 800cc engine with 650 km range and just a 12 inch wheelbase with 305 mm thread. All these features make the Maruti 800 fuel efficient.
In clear National Highways, the Maruti 800 can reach a top speed of 123 km which ensures that the Maruti 800 gives a mileage of 20 km per liter, while in bad city traffic the car can give a mileage of 14.8 km per liter. Furthermore, the Maruti 800 is equipped with an MPFI pump engine with 4 valves per cylinder that helps to give 20 plus KMPL in general situations.
