I have tried many things but none of them seem to have helped. Apparently there is some problem with my engine as mechanics could not tweak it to improve the fuel economy.

Those figures were achieved on a daily basis. I try to keep the car in 4th or 5th gear wherever possible. Avoid instant breaking and acceleration.

i have santro2000 model,completed around 99550km and still gives me 10.5km with a/c in city .mechanically i have only changed its clutch plate so far beside tires and battery.

you can install twin turbo in xing & get the maximum torqe, power & milage... apart from that NOSE is great option to have the powerfull ride like xing....YO Baby, i got the power

to improve the mileage please dont use clutch frequently and maintain the speed. and use right gear in right speed do not hurry to go on 5th gear that will kill your engine and your mileage too..

01.Always maintain correct tyre pressure 02.Use your AC only whenever required 03.Regular service should be done without delay 04.Avoid hard acceleration 05.Maintain less load whenever possible.

There are lot of other models of Santro which are not eRLX. Those should be available in drop down. E.g. Santro Xing - XE,XG,XS.

it mileage is very very very bad...after my engine was bored in service centre.....it is giving 8-9 pr litre......i m fed up........

i brought a santro xing GL and it ised to give me 19 km/l in highways and now after crossing 55000 km's its only giving me around 13- 14 km/l

u can improve the mileage by reducing the amount of fuel entering in to the engine. that can be done by pressing the acclerator pad to a very low extent. switch on the gear in such a way that u press the acclerator pad to a little extent. In downals try to move the vehicle in neutral......

I love Santro for the design and power. But as far as mileage it is the worst car in its range. If you get 11 to 12 you feel lucky. I had XG model which was giving only 9 kms per litre with AC. Can someone tell me whether the new xing erlx version is better in mileage??

This car gives a mileage of 13 in city and upto 17 on highways (both figures without AC) with a conservative foot on the gas pedal. If the car is ripped it wil lreturn 11 in city and 15-16 in the highways.
