Hi friends, i am confused about Hyundai getz used car to buy or not to buy??? There is one getz gvs in Mumbai 2004 model, price 1.5 lac 40k km runing so please suggest me what to do ?? bcoz someone says car is best but mileage not good. please suggest me about mileage, maintenance.

Riding in city with a car with such a weight may not be fuel efficient (Max 10.5 Km/lit w/o AC under better traffic conditions, with AC 8 to 9.5 Kms). Highway riding is good for this car, can expect a mileage upto 16 Km/lit without AC if driven at optimum speed.

I own Getz 1.3 GLS model of 2007 - the car is spacious enough & driving is comfort. Though car is nice, it burns the pocket with its mileage / fuel efficiency. I believe, the model is outdated in terms of Hyundai Motors mind set and as such there is no talk of Getz either in promotion or in terms of sale. In the current inflation, better to buy fuel efficient cars.

i have a getz gls 1.3 of 2007. car is very nice with painful mileage. its giving 8.5 per litre in city driving without ac. recently i changed all spark plug,drained & refill coolant, mobil but mileage is the same. need ur advice. thanks in advance.

I use Shell regular unleaded fuel only, which has helped increase the mileage slightly and also make the engine more smooth.

Car power steering is not very efficient. gear ratio not very good , eg 1st gear is powerful but no.2 is not then no.5 is not very smooth need 6th gear i suppose.

I OWN GETz PRIME 2009 MODEL...ITS 1.1L GLE PETROL.. I HAVE CUSTOMIZED MY CAR WITH PIRELLI TYRES OF SIZE 195/60 R 13 NAMED "PIRELLI P-5000 SUPER SPORT"...THE TYRES ARE INFLATED WITH NITROGEN GAS WHICH HELPS IN INCREASING FUEL ECONOMY OF 2KMPL... THEY ARE FITTED ON COMPANY'S RIMS i.e. NO ALLOYS IT'S JUST FUN TO DRIVE THE CAR... YOU JUST DON'T REQUIRE SPOILER AT HIGH SPEED ONCE YOUR CAR IS FITTED WITH THESE TYRES... THE CAR JUST STICKS THE ROAD AND GOES...YOU DONT NEED TO PRESS BRAKES EVEN IF YOU ARE ON THE CURVE @ 160 KMPH..!!!! ON MY TRIP TO GOA I WAS CLOCKING AT AN AVERAGE SPEED OF 90-100 KMPH AND WAS ALSO STRUCK IN TRAFFIC JAM FOR 1HR...BUT STILL I GOT THE AVERAGE OF 19.82 KMPL WITH A/C..... ITS WAS THE BEST TRIP WHICH I HAD... IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE THE AVERAGE OF YOUR CAR THEN JUST REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING POINTS.... 1). PRESS THE ACCELERATOR THINKING THAT THERE'S AN EGG UNDER YOUR FOOT AND IT IS NOT TO BE BROKEN 2). TRY TO KEEP THE CAR AT THE LOWEST RPM OF AROUND 1000-1500 3). AVOID FREQUENT GEAR SHIFTS 4). DON'T PRESS THE CLUTCH WHILE BRAKING.... SHIFT TO LOWER GEAR ONLY WHEN YOU FEEL THAT THE CAR'S ENGINE WILL TURN OFF.... 5). KEEP YOUR CAR CLEAN FROM OUTSIDE i.e. DON'T LEAVE DUST ON THE BODY 6). GET YOUR CAR SERVICES REGULARLY...
