Buying ford is not at all good option is not thinking long term realibility.a lot part change underwent..with horrible milage of 10-11km/lt petrol city..with No power for highway to overtake

Try to keep engine rpm between 2300 - 2600 for best fuel efficiency. some drivers forget the use of the overdrive.

Those who have any inhibition on buying ,this car at least the diesel one i can assure you that you will not repent. I have done 10000kms including 2 long trips of 1500 km each from Mumbai in one year.My car is 1.4Zxi Diesel and I have always clocked in 16-19km/lt always on ac and I am a normally a very slow and steady driver.I am OK with it though I think that a better driver than me can extract a slightly better mileage than me. I have covered all types of terrain with equal comfort. The concern area is Ford's service though I can see a lot of improvement during the one year(as they have been picking up sales ) and the company is quite keen on the same though I have my doubts on the intention of dealers as they are good in bluffing the principals.Most companies have the same condition. Also I have observed that usage of ordinary diesel or high speed diesel makes a difference in mileage.I am not sure ehich type of diesel is recommended as the service people told me not to use high speed diesel but I am not very convinced.Can any expert help me in this ?

I WAS DRIVING FIGO TITANIUM DIESEL CAR FOR A PAST OF NINE MONTHS. ITS MILEAGE WAS AWESOME IN HIGHWAYS AND IN THE CITIES ALSO GOOD ONLY.

Initially got surprisingly low mileage around 7 to 9 kmpl in city. But mostly for short drive, say 2 to 4 kms! Later on mileage imporved. Now this is a constant mileage I achieved with Figo petrol on 50-50 mix City-Highway, with all time AC on and calculated over last 4500kms.

1.engine r.p.m. between 1200 to 1500 2.drive as through there were no brakes 3.down-shift gear instead of pressing accelator to get pick-up 4.Ikon tyre pressure (f)36 p.s.i. (r)41 p.s.i. 5.difference between Top Speed and Average Speed should not exceed 15-20 kmph

i get only 6.8 to 7.5 inside the city, now i am trying to shift gears, and maintain rpm 2500, i also sought help from a professional car driver to find mistake in my driving, lets hope more in coming future. also plan to raise a complain with ford india

I purchased ZXI for figo diesel car six months back. I found its very good with all facilites in the small segment car. City I got mileage of 18 and on highway 22kmpl.Its AC is very powerful compare to other cars.In rainy season its very fun to play with wipers, AC, Back rear view wiper, its very comfortable to drive in while in heavy raining also. Thanks to ford to inventing this type of car. Once again thanks to Ford. I love my figo.

I am using Ford Figo TDCI Diesel car. It is very fine and comfort. Normally in other cars if u go at max speed, you can feel some sort of vibration. But that is not in Ford Figo even if u go at 200 KMPH. Coming to mileage its very good comparing to Petrol variant. One thing we can say as a drawback is Ground Clearance. But if we ride in proper way, why we bother about the ground clearance?. Whatever we all comment on this car, its already said No 1 car of 2010. Also for back seat we are comfort sitting. But we dont have enough storage spaces. Coming to Audio set, it is awesome. Also there is a facilty to make a call via mobile conenctivity and can communicate. One thing is even if you are at 150 speed, you can control the car and can stop. This is my experience with ford figo. Thanks.

Always try and keep the RPM upto 2000 even while while Shifting Gears from 1st to 5th.

This mileage get after one service and 5000 km run, before this it give only 10-14 km/l. I think it will incease 1-2 km/l after 8000-10000 km run.

If you frequently change the gears when not required, you cannot expect good average milage.

Control the speed at 2500 rpm

figo is undoubtedly the best hatchback ford has ever produced and is the king of smallcars today in india. best performance competitive price great space.

I bought a ford figo diesel titanium last july(2010),it is simply the best work done by Ford india ltd. till date....the design,styling etc,i made a trip to erode with the car giving a mileage of close to 22 on highways with the AC on...and close to 17 in the city..for that price tag of just 6.3L loaded with all features like ABS,Airbags,ebs,it is one of the most excellent deals around...

i dont understand one thing, everyone is saying its bad on fuel average or is gud on fuel average. damm do people ur driving a car not a bike. if someone is saying that it is bad on average then do buy a bycycle, why are u even thinking of buying a car. buying a car is not just average it u also have to look into after sale service, the brand of vehicle ur buying etc etc... so people if serious in buying a car then just go what u like to buy abd what fits in your eyes...

mileage is good between 16-18km/l ,if you drive it on the speed of between 60-80km/h.

I have drive my Figo Exi petrol for 6000 km in 10 months. Getting a mileage of 17.6 Kmpl in Highway and 15.4 in City condition with my AC on on half of the journey. Nice robust car to travel and value of money.

i am totally surprised, i got a new figo recently, at the time of delivery the dealer was saying me that 5 ltr petrol is there in the tank. once i moved from there, i had put 16 litres and after running another 50 kms the fuel indicater was blinking....!!!!! and put 16 ltrs again, and again after 4 days after running 112 kms, it has started blinking again...... and now again i put another 16 ltrs... So say, after covering 250 kms, my figo has finished more than 32 ltrs of petrol.....!!! i am totally in tension now...??? what to do....???

I feel that driving at right speeds and changing the gears at right instance are the key factors one to follow and idling in long signals can be reduced by putting off the engine, un neccessary accelerating is another factor enging drinking more of petrol. Best way to get the best mileage is to maintain cool mind while driving a car.

My opinion is tat 1400cc engine with no emission n sound has giving 20km/l is sufficient for me if u want more mileage better choose Nano tat fullfill ur expectation.............

after reading all the views of users of figo petrol i m litle bit worried i have book figo to the sub dealer in my city thier is no dealer in my city.so plz give me advice can i cancel my booking and looking for other hatchback.mileage and after sales service is big issues i think with figo.plz plz ford management read all this views of figo and take serious action regarding this coz we all love this car and this car helps to u reestablish in india grab this market with figo.

Figo TDCI is one of VFM car in their segment. Looks Gud even with the same money you cannot get half of the features in other same segment cars.

i had taken figo on march 2010 and drove about 9800 km.i am getting an average of 14.3 km on 20 kms drive daily.petrol segment quiet comfortable milege no hidden costs sofar. 1st service amount 760 rs inclusive.no other expenses sofar. about bad thing is front mudflap and ground level too bad,always gettin broken

I got 18Km/L mileage before first servicing and now I am etting about 22Km/L mileage on highway after first servicing.. City driving...now getting about 18-19Km/L approximately.

MOst of the people reporting a low mileage of figo either do not know car handling or mileage computation. Ford figo diesel is giving a mileage of 17.5 km+ in delhi city conditions with AC on full time. Petrol version is giving 14+.

i bought ford figo diesel exi on 13th october 10 previously i owned swift petrol this figo is better on many fronts milage is overall 21/lit i think fuel economy totally depends on the driving how you apply breaks, acceleration,gear shifting and average speed and very one must regularly check Tyre pressure too.

i have ford Figo ZXI petrol, avg giving is between 12-14 kmpl. its a hardcore steel.. so i will nt compare it with maruti and hyundai. if you love to drive and that to wd speed go for figo...figo rocks...if it will give me mileage of 10km also, then also i ll only drive this rocket.. its a damn good car.

I see some absurd figures for mileage mentioned here which cant be true. Just wanted to share a tip on "How to read exact mileage" of your car. Just follow these simple steps: 1. Full your car's tank with its capacity. Reset the trip meter. 2. After covering about 100 km, refill your car's tank again with its capacity. Now notice how much petrol/diesel you put in tank to make it full. 3. Divide your trip meter reading by the liters of petrol/diesel you put in the tank the second time. There you GO... you have the exact mileage of your car. :)

I am owning ford figo ZXi, petrol, the odometer reading is 2700 KM. i have travelled frequently to GOA from mumbai. the Mileage i have received with AC on is 16.5 KM on Highways & in city it is giving me 13 KM.Still i haven't done my servicing of the car.

my experience about figo disel is very good and it is more than 22kk/lit. and it is true.

Initially I was getting less milage. I have covered above 8000/-km in five months. driving in proper Gare makes difference. Lifting excilator while changing gare and then pressing again moderately as engine desires makes great feel of difference of power and milage also. I feel average is much better on highway and less on city conditions

I have ford figo lxi petrol and now done 1850 kms. first service has also been done. Ford people were assuring me that the mileage will improve after first service, however nothing has happened. Its still giving 7-8 kms with AC on and 10-11 with AC off in Delhi. I took up the matter with Ford India but apart from telephonic advice no action taken. During first service, the matter was taken up with dealer also but he has done only normal service and took no step to resolve the problem. My advice to all prospetive buyers is that they should seek the opinions actual users by meeting them personally rather than relying on opinions on websites. Further, the opinion of those owners should be considered who have driven the car at least 1000 kms. There is no point considering the opinions of people who have only test driven the car.

I buy ford figo EXI 1.2 VERSION JUST 25 DAYS AGO AND RUN ABOVE 2500KM. AND I GOT THE MILEAGE OF 16.20 KM/LIT WITH SPEED BETWEEN 70 TO 80 KM. ITS A SUPERB CAR ON ROAD. NO DOUBT IT IS THE BEST IN ITS SEGMENT.

I have a Fiesta Diesel and the Mileage is Aprox. 14.5 in the city and Aprox 17.75 on Highways.

I purchased ford figo lxi in June 2010 and driven 970 kms. with a mileage of 10 to 11 in Delhi city. With AC on the average is just 7 to 8 kms. I wrote to ford and reminded on its email but they did not reply. I am thinking of installing a CNG kit but dealer told me that the warranty will lapse. Ford is not even replying and if we go for CNG the warranty will lapse. Can anyone tell me about figo's compatibility of CNG kit. what to do in this situation.

Why does not company do some thing about the milage or it wil have to wind it up. And answer for MR MOHANTY NC with AC ON it will not give you more that 11/ltr. I got a maximum mileage of 23+ in the highways...and 18+ in the city. There are certain important facts which provides mileage to a TURBO-CHARGED Diesel Engine. First Know the Technology, then drive it. There are certain hidden knowlodge in gear shifting,breaking,Turbo charging, acceleration,speed,AC usage,Torque utilization. Beware of all these and drive. definitly will get a good mileage.
