Hey, there is no provision in "select your model" for Electra 5s, hence i had to pick up this one...can you consider inserting all models for opting the right one? any tips for managing mileage menace would be great.... donot know how and where to complain about poor quality services in so called authorised service agents...i moved up to the 4th one now...with very poor on satisfaction ....they dont care

no harsh braking or sudden acceleration. quality petrol. use roads with less bumps. no loose clothing and use aerodynamic full face helmet. lubricate chain after every water wash. set idling speed to 1000 rpms only.use kick in the morning and electric start throughout the day. during early morning start use choke and wait until engine is warm before riding.

i have recently got mileage of 44.35 in city,i drove at or below 55 kmph,with gentle acceleration and braking,which means controlling speed with throttle not brakes,anticipate speed change and leave throttle well in advance to gain fuel efficiency and accelerate slowly,maintain tyre pressure,25 and 35 if driving with pillion,and avoid choke usage if possible,start the engine in 1 kick,keep vehical in shade and put fuel knob off.keep it in good shape with good servicing,ARAI Mileage by manufacturer is 52 however in city i got 44.35 i filled in 14.52 liters and drove 644 km.full tank to reserve. my way was to put trip meter to 000 when it got into reserve fuel and then got it 14.52 liters next time i visited pump and drove 644 km till it got into reserve next time. worst mileage i have ever got is 36.9 and best 44.35. it all depends on driving and kind of petrol u fill. happy driving. this check was done in allahabad.

hi guys,i have done 12000 kms till now and i have got mileage ranging from 37 to 42 in city, and 42 to 45 on highways. it depends on driving style what i have experienced is that in case i drive at 50-55 kmph in city with gentle acceleration and brakes with rpm in range of 2000-2500 i get 40 mileage in city and if i drive at 60-70 at highways with the conditions written earlier i get 43-45 kmph. with harsh driving and rapid acceleration u will only get 35 in city and 40 on highways.

I have one Electra 5S bought in feb 2006. It had an awesome mileage of 48-50 in highway at 60 km/H. But after 39,000 kms i had to overhaul the engine. Now the mileage dropped to 30 kms flat at highways or in the city.

I got a new 350 standard bullet in sep 2009. I am getting an avg of 25km/l . I have finished with 3 services, have not found any difference in the mileage after each servie.
