Yamaha is looking at a serious image makeover in India. It intends to create a brand image and re-establish its position in the Indian automobile market. It has launched its luxury bike Yamaha YJF R15 model earlier this year and now the model is available in blazing red colour as well. The new red model will be available in combination with black matt finish plastic inserts that lend its smashing look. The model is currently available in Blue and Graphite color.

Yamaha is showcasing affordable bikes at Rs. 95000 or less. The YZF R15 model comes with 6-speed transmission and 150cc Fuel jet injected liquid cooled engine that will be producing 20bhp. This makes the model as one of the most powerful model in its category of under 200cc engines. Yamaha YZF R15 model is currently available at Rs. 97425 and is a little highly priced by Rs. 15000 to 18000 over its competitors.

Yamaha is also looking at increasing its market share and intends to occupy 10 percent market with its new bikes. It will set up company owned outlets in Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata for selling its premium bikes in major cities that have customers demanding luzury models.
