Yamaha Spare Parts Available for RX100 and RD350
It’s time for the old Yamaha customers to rejoice. The company is in talks with the vendors to provide spare parts for its cult bikes like RX100 and RD350. We are talking to the vendors for providing spare parts even for our older bikes, like RX 100 and RD 350, to win back the confidence of our customers,” India Yamaha Motor CEO and Managing Director Yukimine Tsuji said.
However, the company has denied once again that it shall not compete in the 100cc segment. 100cc is the largest two-wheeler segment in the country that accounts for nearly half of the total Indian two-wheeler sales. “We will build customer confidence through our existing models in the 150 cc and above category. Once we have established our basic business through higher volumes in the premium category and sales network, we will then be prepared to challenge this market (entry level),”Tsuji said.
Yamaha intends to regain its numbero-uno position back in India. It is making all the efforts to tap larger market share and regain customer confidence in India. It is not only planning to bring super bikes and high end bikes to India but also intends to cater to the demands and necessities of its old customers. It shall invest nearly Rs. 240 crores in 2010-11 to develop India-specific models. The company also intends to make India as its exports hub so that it can export its bikes to the US and Japan.
