Will There Be Nano Electric at Delhi Auto Expo?

02 January, 2010, 10:10 IST by Satish Kalepu

Tata Motors launched world’s cheapest car in 2009. The company has also unveiled the European model of the car at the Geneva Motors Show last year. According to the latest reports from the German Press, Tata Motors now plans to introduce an electric version of the car.

Tata Motors supposedly plans to introduce E-Nano that is expected to be built in collaboration with Miljoebil Grenland. This Norwegian firm is specialist in electric cars and Tata Motors is already ready to introduce electric variant of Tata Indica Vista in Norway.

Tata Motors introduced Tata Nano at the Delhi Auto Expo 2008 which was a show stealer. The 2010 edition may seem pale in comparison. There is no official information about Tata Nano electric concept vehicle to be unveiled at the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo but the company has recently announced that it will introduce three new models and a new Jaguar saloon model. It still remains to be seen which models will be introduced at this Auto Expo.
