Volvo India will be introducing its latest luxury sedan model Volvo S60 in the Indian market by January 2011. The car sports an extremely trendy look with conventional Volvo style as well. Other features include a large waistline, coupe-like roofline, swell grill and extremely large headlamps. Interiors of the car boast of floating central console with well-laid out dashboard.

The car will compete with BMW 335Li with its two powerful petrol power trains - 2.0L turbo charged petrol engine delivering 200bhp and 3.0L petrol engine delivering 304bhp. The new Volvo S60 will also come with two diesel options - twin turbo diesel 2.4L D5 delivering 204 bhp and 2.0L 4 cylinder diesel with 163 bhp.

Volvo S60 comes with advanced safety features like pedestrian detection system which stops the engine completely for speeds up to 35kmph. All-new S60 will be shown for the first time at Geneva, but more detail pertaining to the local lineup – including prices – will be made available ahead of its launch here.
