Volvo in India – Cars and More
Volvo opened its new dealership in Hyderabad for its cars in South India. Talwar Cars will open their showroom in Hyderabad that will cater to customer demands for Volvo cars in South India. The dealership will open up for customers in October - December 2008.
“We are pleased to expand our network in Hyderabad as South India is an important market for us. The expansion of our dealer network signals the imp ortance of the Indian market to Volvo,” said Paul de Voijs, Managing Director, Volvo Cars India. It plans to expand its dealerships in India by having 7-9 dealers in next one year.
Volvo is also bringing its famous Volvo Ocean Race to Asia first time in history. Kochi in India will be its stop over when the boats will arrive in India on December 03, 2008. The race will commence from Alicante in Spain on 4th October and Indian ports will have the pleasure of welcoming the boats to Asia for the first time. Professional racing crews are especially enthusiastic about this race as it is one world’s premier yacht race. It is aptly nicknamed as “Everest of Sailing” in the world of water sports.
