Toyota’s Suhana Summer Camp

05 March, 2010, 10:10 IST by Payal Pathak

Toyota Kirloskar Motors started its annual service camp “Suhana Summer” service camp for its customers in India. The service camp is open at all Toyota dealerships across India for all Toyota models. The service campaign will be conducted across all dealerships from March 01 – 31, 2010 where the customers will be offered free 30 point check up for their models. Customers will also be eligible to choose from a wide range of service parts packages that will include repair and periodic maintenance of parts of the vehicle.

"Toyota having pioneered the 'Customer First' approach throughout the world, has timed this service campaign to correspond with the vacation season in India. The campaign will help our customers to gear up their vehicles for long journeys, ensuring safe, comfortable and fun-filled drives during summer vacation," Toyota Kirloskar Motor's deputy managing director, Sandeep Singh, said.

At least they are now taking the first steps to control the fallout of recalls, even though it may be minimal in India. However, the worldwide recall and the effect this has on the mindset of the buyer in India cannot be overlooked.Somehow, one gets the clear impression, Toyota have missed a few tricks on the way, trying to shoot to number !. They have shot themselves in the foot!
