The New Seat Altea

26 September, 2009, 10:10 IST by Satish Kalepu

The Spanish car maker Seat revealed the new Altea XL and Leon models at the Frankfurt Auto show. They are new extensions of Seat’s ecomotive range of cars. It also revealed the new Seat Altea recently in petrol and diesel versions. It comes in four different versions the Altea S, Altea S Emocion, Altea SE and the Altea Sport. There is a choice of engines of 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 petrol. All the models display smoother and strong drive while delivering a fine balance between performance and economy. The sport Seat Altea FR models come with 197 bhp turbo petrol or 168 bhp 2.0 turbodiesel engines.

The new Seat Altea features exciting looks with better looking headlights and re-shaped grille. One of the striking features of the new Seat Altea is that it offers spacious five seat options rather than cramping the inner space with seven seats. Moreover, the car offers more than thirty spaces to stash away small things including a super-sized glove box.

Altea also sports all the safety features of a standard car along with other features like front electric windows, CD player, firm suspension and more. It has anti-lock brakes and stability control to keep the car from skidding even at slippery corners.
