Tata Prima Luxury Saloon at Delhi Auto Expo 2010

Tata Motors is planning to launch its concept luxury saloon model Prima at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The model has been designed by Italian design studio Pinanfarina - Tata Motors has a stake in the firm. Tata Prima concept saloon was first unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show 2009. Tata Motors has refused to comment on any speculation about the model being showcased the Delhi Auto Expo 2010.

Rumors are rife that the model may hit the Indian shores by 2012-13 and the production ready model is already ready to be introduced in Europe shortly.

Tata Prima is based on Tata Indigo wheelbase and is a luxury sedan concept model that features sporty curvatures to create a coupe like outline. It also carries design characteristics that are typical to the Tata brand.

Tata Motors is ready to bring more elegant, sophisticated and stylish models in India as well as in the overseas markets. It intends to showcase luxury, style and comfort that exudes overall elegance.

I think with all the nice design and long wheelbase, they should provide some futuristic and highly competitive features such as.. 1. Powerful engine(At least 1.8 litres) 2. Around 150 bhp or more. And good torque 3. An all wheel drive variant would be great. 4. Smooth gearbox as u find in Toyota cars and of course 5. A smooth functioning cat that needs very less maintainance like Toyotas. With all these options, I bet nobody is going to buy a Toyota Corolla or Chevrolet Cruze or Honda Civic. Because this car will give u a great value for the money. Will be absolutely a stunner!!!

why tata is not inproving its cars than honda in cc,luxury,engine ? I like tata very much. it shold have car of the year 2011.
