02 February, 2010, 10:10 IST by Payal Pathak

Tata Motors has been denying that it has put any new car launch on hold including its new crossover vehicle Indicruz. However, it has stated that it is not planning any new Indica Vista, but still rumors are doing rounds that Tata is planning to introduce a new variant of Vista – Tata Indica Vista Ignis in India.

The new Tata Indica Vista Ignis would be the fourth new variant of Vista which will also have a revamped power train. It will be powered by new 1.4L SAFFIRE engine that currently marks its presence in Fiat Grand Punto. The engine develops 90PS of max power at 6000 rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque at 4500 rpm. The new Indica Vista Ignis will also undergo cosmetic changes to give the car better look and more style. The interiors will be revised with a new integrated audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, USB connectivity, call answer and reject buttons, audio controls on mounted on steering wheel, electrically adjustable side view mirrors and keyless entry will come as a standard feature.

It is also being said that Tata Motors will come with new variants of the Vista that will be fitted with ABS and airbags.
