The revamped model of this entry level sedan will come with an AMG kit which was also seen in company’s ML Class that was revealed in May 2012. With this kit, the facelifted avatar of C Class will boast of several favourable modifications in its exteriors as well as the interiors. The changes which will probably be seen in the exteriors of the car will include the new alloy wheels and probably a body kit, whereas its interiors will also flaunt better fit and finish.
After the launch of AMG kit version of ML Class, Mercedes Benz rejoiced with an overwhelming response that it received from the buyers, as the first 100 units of car were booked on the first day itself. Witnessing the customer response for the upgraded ML Class with AMG kit, it is anticipated that the company will also expect high from its updated C-Class. New C-Class features many cosmetic changes which will surely help it to grab the attention of a large number of buyers. Modifications made in the new version include panoramic sunroof, neckpro, cruise control and the electronically adjustable driver seat.
Bringing the engine of revamped C-Class in the limelight, the car is expected to have the same powertrain that is present in its current model. However, alterations in the transmission system of the car may be done to boost its engine’s performance. The 1.8 litre petrol engine of Mercedes Benz C Class is now assimilated to a 7 speed gearbox, rather than a 5 speed gearbox which was incorporated earlier.
However, there is some uncertainty regarding its status as a Special Edition model, since some quarters believe that the upcoming car will be an altogether new variant of the existing C Class sedan, with a few features inspired from the body kit. Nevertheless, this upcoming vehicle will certainly boost the sales for the company and help it cope up with the challenges posed by its rivals Audi and BMW.
