SkodaAuto India inaugurates its authorised dealership in Salem

Salem, Dec 23, 2009: SkodaAuto India, a fully owned subsidiary of SkodaAuto a.s., Czech Republic (Volkswagen Group), one of the premium automobile manufacturers in India, today announced the opening of S7 Cars India (P) Ltd, a new dealership in Salem, Tamil Nadu.

S7 Cars India (P) Ltd, was inaugurated by Chief guest Mr. Singodagounder, Ramani Groups alongwith Mr. Ashutosh Dixit, Senior General Manager Sales and Marketing, SkodaAuto India. Present on the occasion from S7 Cars India (P) Ltd were Dr. Suresh Kumaran V, Managing Director and Executive Director Mr. Pradeep Kumaran.

Located in Salem at the Meyyanoor Main Road, the launch of S7 Cars India is the latest chapter in SkodaAuto India’s commitment for dealer expansion and customer support networks. Built on an area of 23,000 sq ft and designed as a 3-S (sales, service & spares), the dealership meets SkodaAuto's global quality standards and layout specifications. Skoda’s newest dealership promises its customers a premium buying and ownership experience.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Dixit said, “We have always received an overwhelming response from our customers in the region, and we are confident that S7 Cars India (P) Ltd will play a vital role in strengthening our dealer base and continue to enhance Skoda’s Customer Care experience. Our expansion strategy is to create a strong authorized dealer network in India to support our growing sales in the region and ensure adequate support for all sales and service functions. We will increase our presence to 75 outlets by the end of 2010.”

The dealership headed by Dr. Suresh and Pradeep is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities to cater to the complete portfolio of customer’s needs, all under one roof. The facility will be capable of servicing 20 cars per day and is targeting a sale of around 200 cars in 2010.

Currently SkodaAuto India has six authorised dealerships in Tamil Nadu, with the inauguration of S7 Cars India (P) Ltd. SkodaAuto’s dealership footprint is spread across 65 outlets and covers 50 cities & towns in India.
