Skoda Yeti to Debut at Auto Expo India 2010

The new Skoda Yeti is already rolling out of its Czech plant and is ready to hit the Indian roads soon. Sources close to the project development cite that the new SUV will be showcased at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2010 which is country’s biggest auto show to the manufacturers and car enthusiasts. It was showcased at the Geneva Auto Show 2009 and will be available in India showrooms by early 2010, however, there is no official statement about the same from the company sources.

The new model coming for the Indian domestic market is expected to have 4WD and will have 1.8L TSI petrol engine especially tweaked for the Indian roads. The estimated price for this car is Rs. 10 lakh and will be assembled at the Aurangabad plant of Skoda Auto.

Other specifications of the Indian version of Yeti are 180 mm of clear height of a wider tyre tread, low CO2 emission values, low fuel consumption, compact 2578 mm wheel base VarioFlex rear seat system and a large luggage compartment that can be enlarged further.

  • I don't understand how you have arrived at a price of 10 kakhs. I read elsewhere a price of 20 kakhs. 10 lambs sounds unreal given the config of the car and 4 WD to boot
