Rolls Royce Ghost launched its latest premium saloon, Ghost in India. The company hopes to sell around 60 units annually. "India is going to be a key market for Ghost and we expect to sell 50-60 units of Ghost in 2010," said Brenda Pek, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars General Manager (South and East Asia-Pacific). The model is priced at Rs. 2.5 crores but the price will vary as per the customization required by the customer.

Rolls Royce currently sells Phantom models in India via its two dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai. It had re-entered the Indian market after some 50 years of absence from the market. It had earlier enjoyed the fondness of erstwhile Maharajas of India and had left rich legacy decades ago. Rolls Royce sold 20 Phantom cars in 2008. In 2010, Rolls Royce intends to sell at least 75 units including Phantom and Ghost. The total production of Rolls Royce is 2500 units annually of which 25 percent is of Phantom and remaining is of Ghost.

Rolls Royce had already begun bookings of the cars earlier last month. It would start delivering the models by early 2010.
