Reva NXG and NXR Models at the Frankfurt Auto Show
Bangalore based Reva Electric Car Company launched its two new models –Reva NXG and NXR at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Both the models showcase several new features like keyless entry, intelligent digital display and dual charge ports. These cars even have remote emergency charge system where the customer gets support from the company to activate the reserve amount of energy whenever it is low on charge.
Dilip Chhabria designed model, Reva NXG has a top speed of 130 kph (80 miles per hour) along with a range of 200km (125 miles) per charge but the fast charge gives it an effective range of 320km a day. It is an M1 category, two-door, two-seater car with a targa top. On the other hand, Reva NXR is a M1 category three-door, four-seater hatchback family car. It has a range of 160 kms (100 miles) per charge and a top speed of 104 kph (65 mph). But the 90 minute fast charge can offer an effective range of 320km a day.
The company also revealed prices for both the models which will largely vary across Europe. Approximate average price across the continent will be Rs. 10.6 lakh for the Li-ion variant. The NXR model powered with lead acid batteries will cost approximately Rs. 7.08 lakh. Apart from this, the company will also charge a monthly mobility fee.
