Renault Models Coming to India
Renault Motors had snapped its ties with Mahindra and Mahindra following the failure of its entry level model Logan. The two companies could not arrive at a mutual consensus to carry forward their relationship in the Indian market and Renault has decided to go on its own in the domestic market. Renault introduced its several models at the recent Delhi Auto Show 2010 including Renault Megane, Fluence, Koleos, Laguna as well as its electric car model Twizzy.
Renault now plans to introduce its saloon model Fluence soon in India which will be priced at Rs. 12-14 lakh. The car will compete with Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Chevrolet Cruze. Renault Dacia Duster based on Logan platform its another of the forthcoming launches that will be introduced in the Indian market.
Renault will also bring its SUV model Koleos in India which will be assembled at Renault’s plant near Chennai. It will be imported as a CKD model along with Fluence to keep the cost competitive in the Indian market.
