Renault Logan in Nepal

The mid-sized sedan Logan made its foray in the overseas lands as Mahindra Renault launched its model in Nepal today. Mahindra Renault is a joint venture in India between Indian auto maker Mahindra and Mahindra and France's Renault SA.

The new Logan shall be available in two variants as 1.4GLE Petrol and 1.5 DLS diesel and would be distributed by Agni Inc. who is currently distributor of Mahindra vehicles in the country. Mahindra Renault aims to provide technologically superior vehicle to Nepalese customers that offers a strong value proposition with its class defying features.

"Our distributor, Agni Incorporated, has been associated with the Mahindra brand for several years...With its wide national network and in-depth knowledge of the local market, Agni will give us a definite competitive edge in the passenger segment in the country," Mahindra Renault General Manager, Marketing, Gerald Porcario, said.

Logan has been quite successful in the mid-sized sedan segment. It has won several kudos and accolades from auto critics in India. The Hindustan Times named it as "Car of the Year 2007' while NDTV Car India and Bike India awarded it to be the 'Midsize Car of the Year'. It also won Business Standard Motoring Jury Award 2008.
