The Indian portfolio of the car maker comprises of Renault Pulse hatchback, compact sedan Fluence and sturdy SUV Koleos, all of which have received mediocre feedback from the Indian buyers. Owing to this, Renault has planned to launch the Duster SUV that is highly intended for the modern SUV enthusiasts and with five more models to hit the Indian market by the end of the current year in this range, which the company calls as the "most youthful line-up in the Indian market."

Mr. Rajiv Mitra, Head – Corporate Communications, Renault India, was quoted as saying, "Duster would be the most aggressive product from our stable, so far. We are close to finalising the details and introduce it at a very aggressive price. It will have multiple choices with the top-end model having dual airbags, leather upholstery, 16-inch alloy wheels and ABS with brake assist."

The Renault Duster has been designed to render high end performance with enhanced safety attributes catering comfortable driving feel in both on road and off road conditions backed up greater appeal on the exterior as well as interior front.

  • @Arun : This is not being said that difference between petrol and diesel models is 5L. The 12L model is top of the line diesel model while 7L model is the bottom of the line petrol model. Probably the price of bottom of the line diesel model would be priced ~8.5L.
